SkilLoop is built around a simple idea: Everyone has something to teach. Everyone has something to learn. For that to work, users need to feel respected, safe, and comfortable participating. These Community Guidelines explain the behavior we expect from everyone using SkilLoop.
Treat other users with respect. Do not: • Insult or demean people. • Harass or threaten others. • Discriminate against people. • Make unwanted sexual or offensive comments. • Bully or intimidate another user. Disagreements are normal. Disrespect is not.
Only list skills you can reasonably teach. You do not need to be the world's leading expert. You simply need to have useful knowledge or experience that another person can learn from. Be honest about your experience and level of expertise.
SkilLoop works best when both people participate actively. If you're teaching: • Prepare for the session. • Keep the session focused. • Explain clearly. • Encourage questions. • Respect the learner's level. If you're learning: • Come prepared. • Ask questions. • Participate. • Respect the teacher's time. • Be open to learning.
SkilLoop sessions are designed to be short and focused. Use the available time effectively. Avoid unnecessary delays, distractions, or behavior that prevents the session from being useful.
If you accept a session, make a reasonable effort to attend. If you cannot attend: Communicate as early as possible. Do not repeatedly accept sessions and fail to attend without explanation.
Give honest and constructive feedback. Do not: • Create fake reviews. • Manipulate ratings. • Threaten another user over a review. • Leave intentionally abusive feedback. • Use reviews to settle personal disputes. Feedback should help the community improve.
SkillPoints are designed to encourage meaningful participation. Do not attempt to: • Create fake accounts to collect SkillPoints. • Manipulate sessions. • Fake completion. • Abuse reviews or feedback. • Exploit technical vulnerabilities. • Circumvent SkillPoint rules. Attempts to manipulate the SkillPoint system may result in account restrictions or termination.
Respect other people's privacy. Do not share another user's: • Private contact information • Personal documents • Account information • Private communications • Other sensitive information without appropriate authorization. You should also avoid sharing sensitive personal information unnecessarily.
During video sessions, users must follow the same standards of respect that apply throughout SkilLoop. Do not use sessions for: • Harassment • Sexual misconduct • Hate speech • Fraud • Threats • Malicious activity • Unwanted solicitation
SkilLoop is for genuine skill exchange. Do not use the platform to: • Scam users. • Request money through deceptive means. • Sell fraudulent services. • Misrepresent qualifications. • Conduct illegal activities. • Manipulate users.
If you experience inappropriate behavior, suspicious activity, harassment, fraud, or another serious issue, report it to SkilLoop. When reporting an issue, provide as much useful information as possible. Reports may be reviewed by SkilLoop and appropriate action may be taken.
Violations may result in: • Warnings • Removal of content • Restrictions • Suspension • Account termination • Other appropriate action The response may depend on the seriousness and frequency of the violation.
Before every interaction, remember: Teach with patience. Learn with curiosity. Communicate clearly. Respect people's time. Give honest feedback. Keep the community safe.
